Mothers of Toddlers to UKG
GD Goenka Public School, Mahanagar, Lucknow, organized a special Phonics Awareness Session exclusively for the mothers of children from Toddlers to UKG on 18th July 2025. The session aimed to highlight the crucial role of phonics in early childhood education and how mothers can support their child’s reading journey at home.
The event was graced by School Director Ms. Neha Goel and Headmistress Ms. Shaily Dawra, who emphasized the importance of parental involvement in a child’s foundational years and applauded the enthusiasm of the participating mothers.
Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities, the session covered key phonics concepts such as sound recognition, blending, and segmenting. Mothers were introduced to the innovative teaching methods used at GD Goenka to make phonics fun, engaging, and effective for young learners.
The participants actively engaged in the learning process and appreciated the practical strategies shared to help their children build strong language and reading skills. A lively Q&A session further enriched the experience, making it an informative and empowering event for all.
