On 15th August 2025, GD Goenka Public School, Mahanagar, celebrated the 79th Independence Day of our nation with great pride and patriotic fervour. The programme began with the flag hoisting ceremony by our esteemed Chairman, Mr. Sarvesh Goel, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem.
Director, Ms. Neha Goel and Headmistress, Ms. Shaily Dawra, addressed the students with inspiring speeches, reminding everyone of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the responsibilities of being true citizens of India.
The highlight of the celebration was a moving skit on the Jallianwala Bagh incident, presented by the students, which deeply touched everyone’s heart. The children also sang a melodious patriotic song and played musical instruments to the tunes of national pride, filling the atmosphere with the spirit of freedom.
The event concluded with loud cheers of “Jai Hind” and a renewed sense of patriotism among all present.
