“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”
GD Goenka Public School, Mahanagar, successfully organised the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” plantation drive under the visionary initiative of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to promote environmental awareness and inspire young minds to contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future.
The event was graced by Mr. Rajeev Mishra, Regional Vice President, Awadh Region as the Chief Guest.The programme commenced with a Welcome Address by the Headmistress, Ms. Shaily Dawra, who highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and the collective responsibility of protecting nature.
In his inspiring address, Mr. Rajeev Mishra encouraged students to go beyond merely planting trees. He advised them to nurture every sapling with care by measuring its growth every week, maintaining a record of its progress, and celebrating its birthday each year to develop a lifelong bond with nature.
Plantation drive was conducted across the campus as a symbol of hope, responsibility, and sustainability.
The programme was organised under the guidance of School Director Ms. Neha Goel, leaving students inspired to nurture the saplings they planted and reaffirming the school’s commitment to creating environmentally conscious citizens dedicated to building a greener and healthier tomorrow.
